Viognier, pronounced Vee-on-yay, is the most complex French white variety we work with at RayLen. From the vineyard to the winery, Viognier challenges us to create the most elegant complex white wine in our portfolio.
The limited 2020 release was cold fermented and aged in malolactic inoculated French oak barrels for 6 months. The wine underwent a partial malolactic fermentation retaining only a portion of its natural acidity.
There’s a tropical lychee nut aroma upfront that leads to ripe apple and peach flavors. The palate is rich and viscous showing creamy textures of soft oak. The finish is crisp, spicy and memorable.
